KID
At my father’s death bed, April 19, 2003, around 10.30 in the morning.
Me: Pa, have you said your prayers yet?
Dad: (shakes his head)
Me: Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Dad: Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of my death amen.
Me: Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Dad: Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of my death amen.
Me: Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Dad: Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of my death amen
He passed away that afternoon. And this is our last conversation.
We still talk every now and then.
*Papa is fondly nicknamed “Kid".
